Dave,
I do not know how it works in UK. Are you able to get a colour matching service to tint your polyurethane? If you are, then obtain either the colour chart (from ICI dealers) or tester pack (costs £1.20) and have the colour scanned or visually matched and tinted into PU. I do not have a copy of the colour chart so I am not able to find the BS or RAL equivalent for you.
Let me know if there is another way I can assist.
Thanks.

Patricia,
I've not used glow-in-the-dark paint outside before. I'm sure it will work, but I think the paint will need to be recoated after some time. All the glow-in-the-dark paint we have here are for interior only.
Having said that, when I did some research for the article above, I came across Glow Inc (www.glowinc.com), and they do have weatherproof glow-in-the-dark paint. Use a good primer sealer prior to painting. One suggestion is to use the Bullseye 123 Primer Sealer prior to painting the glow-in-the-dark paint. Hope this helps and please keep us updated with your progress. Feel free to post a question again, if you have any.

I am wanting to paint the edges of some outside steps and wonder what you can suggest. We have, in the past, painted them white, but now we are of advancing years tend to trip and thought a glow in the dark paint would be more practical. I would appreciate your comments and suggestions please as to whether you can help. An early reply would be much appreciated. Kind regards Patricia
