A Primer for the Entire House! Imagine. The same primer for your walls, ceilings, sheetrock surface, cured plasters, wooden doors, metal gates, copper pipes, pvc casings, cornices, wooden fencing, window grilles, formica, ceramic tiles, gutters, iron railings etc. To add to that, it is water-based, has high opacity and easy to clean up. I’ve used this product and I’m always happy with the result. What I like most is its use across all substrates, both interior and exterior. Common practice nowadays is to have to purchase a oil-based sealer for priming the exterior, a water-based sealer for priming the interior walls and ceilings, an alkyd undercoat for the wooden doors and iron gates and an etching primer for the copper and pvc pipes. With BullsEye 123, you can do all that with just 1 product.
This latex-based paint is also tintable. If you would like to paint your walls a certain colour, say yellow, you can have your Bulls Eye 123 tinted to a lighter shade of yellow. This way, you would need less top coat, especially if the existing colour is dark. Bulls Eye 123 has a strong adhesion onto the substrate. In most cases, you would not need to sand and degloss the surface. Etching is also not required unless the environment is harsh and you want to enhance the adhesion. It is its unique resin base that makes this product suitable as a primer on tiles and other hard-to-grip surfaces like formica and PVCs. This primer is great for children’s room, as it has no toxic solvent nor strong paint odour. It has zero flame spread and fuel contribution, and is USDA approved. It dries fast (almost instantaneous) and can be re-coated in one hour. This cuts downtime considerably. Bulls Eye 123 comes in 2 sizes - 1 quart and 1 US Gallon. The prices will be updated in the Price Reference page soon. Bulls Eye 123 Primer Sealer is an all-round performer. Reviews by user have mostly been good. The exception is in its ability to cover nicotine stains. For that, another Zinsser product - Bin Primer Sealer - would do the job better.
