Jotun Colour Card June 26, 2007

I am posting this chart for the benefit of those

enquiring about the Jotun’s range of Marine and Protective Paints. These past weeks I’ve received several enquiries about Jotun floor paint, especially from Batam. All colours shown on this Jotun chart are available in two-pack epoxy paint and is suitable for floor coating. Specifically, the Jotun Penguard and the Jotun Penguard HB are recommended. I will discuss the paint system soon.

y there were only few range of colours can b selected ya? i am looking for kind of maroon , pulm colors range..

Zai,
The colour chart shows only the standard colours. Maroon and plum colours can be tinted in Jotun’s MultiColour centres. Most have scanners to scan your colour samples and are able to tint to your desired colour.

My gardener has just ruined the tiles round my swimming pool by applying acid. I would like to know whether JotunFloor is suitable for painting these tiles?

As the area round your swimming pool usually gets wet, painting Jotun Floor is not recommended. Jotun Penguard HB followed by Jotun Hardtop PU would be better. Ask your local Jotun dealer to assist.
The tricky thing about painting on tiles is the surface preparation. Tiles, especially those with a glazed coat are extremely smooth. You would need to etch the surface either physically or chemically. Ask your local paint supplier for an etching solution for tiles, one that is suitable to be used with epoxy paint.
Remember to always try the system on a less conspicuous area to see the result.
